Suffolk Schools Cyber Security Day 2020 – Places still available

Cyber security is an ever-increasing challenge for all organisations with threats constantly evolving. It's important that schools and academies understand these threats and use technology effectively to ensure that children, staff and systems are protected. Therefore, Suffolk County Council is running the first Suffolk school’s cyber security conference on Wednesday 29 January 2020. This event is free to all schools and academies in Suffolk, and will bring together leading cyber security professionals to help illuminate the threats and how they can be addressed. It begins at 13:00 and concludes with a panel Q&A session at 17:30.

The conference is suitable for IT professionals within schools and non-IT staff who have responsibility for cyber security and on-line safety. Confirmed speakers for the event are:

  • Krishna Yergol, Suffolk County Council Chief Technology Officer
  • Russell Armstrong, Suffolk County Council IT Security Manager
  • John Greenwood, Norfolk and Suffolk Police Cyber Security Advisor
  • Stuart Aston, Microsoft UK National Security Officer
  • Darren Hogan, MLL Product Director
  • Katie Tyrell, University of Suffolk Research Associate
  • James Macdonald, Smoothwall Technical Lead

Free parking and refreshments will be available. For details of how to register for this event please visit:
