Department of Education submits evidence to the School Teachers’ Review Body for 2020
Earlier this week, the Department of Education published its evidence to the School Teachers’ Review Body in response to its 2020/21 remit.
As we’ve previously reported, the 2020/21 remit is wide-ranging. Unsurprisingly, therefore, the DfE’s evidence is also detailed and comprehensive, with a document running to 80 pages.
The document includes three possible options for the 2020/21 pay award, which can be found on pages 19 to 22.
All three options see the pay increases weighted at the beginning of the main pay range, in the same way we’ve seen for support staff over recent years.
The full DfE document can be found here and a summary statement is available here.
Unlike for teachers, there is no more information yet about the pay negotiations for Local Government (Green Book) staff for April 2020. These negotiations were delayed by the general election in December.
We will continue to update you as we receive more information.
