The Schools’ Choice Children’s Services team provides a range of support to schools and families with the aim of achieving the best for all pupils – from supporting inclusion and participation, and quality assurance, to managing behaviour and dealing with educational appeals.
Our team of Educational Psychologists, Inclusion Facilitators and School Counsellors work with children, young people, families and professionals. They support emotional wellbeing and inclusion to improve learning outcomes.
In line with current inspection requirements, we offer a suite of training programmes that are regularly updated to reflect current changes in legislation, statutory guidance and inspection frameworks These include.: Whole school safeguarding training I Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training I Named chair governor training I Single Central Record workshop I Online-safety leads I Workforce online-safety I Train for trainer packages (T4T).
Our Speech and Language Therapists (SALTs) provide tailor-made, integrated therapy within educational settings, to support the inclusion and participation of children and young people.
The Dyslexia Outreach Team will help you identify and address individual student need and develop effective practices, which focus on impact at whole class, small group and individual level.
The Educational Trips Advisory Service support the planning, approval and management of all trips and visits undertaken by educational establishments using EVOLVE and EVOLVE Plus.
This service provides strategies, interventions and practical advice to support children to communicate their concerns, access the curriculum and make progress.
Our educational specialists who work with you to achieve and maintain healthy school attendance figures.
We can organise independent admission appeals and exclusion reviews for schools. All panel members and clerks are fully-trained, independent and have full regard for the law and latest Department for Education guidance.
The CISS Annual Package of support is used to support and improve schools' inclusive practice.
